H. Moser & Cie. introduces the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept Tantalum

H. Moser & Cie. has stripped its perpetual calendar back to raw metal: a tantalum case, and a dial machined from the same metal with no lacquer at all.

The brand today introduces the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept Tantalum, limited to 50 pieces. Moser says its perpetual calendar is among the easiest on the market to read and set, adjustable forwards and backwards at any time of day.

Tantalum is dense and demanding to machine, with a melting point close to 3000°C. Its dark grey hue carries bluish reflections that shift with the light. The dial itself is machined from a tantalum plate and brushed with a sunburst pattern, with no lacquer, treatment or logo.

What remains is the instantaneous big date, a small central hand for the months, and a power reserve indicator at 9 o'clock. The 42mm case holds the hand-wound HMC 800, and every adjustment runs through the crown.

It is a Perpetual Calendar reduced to what Moser calls its essentials — raw metal and mechanical ingenuity, left to speak for themselves.
