Description
The Freak UR-1 is what happens when Ulysse Nardin and URWERK decide to ignore the rulebook and build something purely for the thrill of it. A collision of two modern rebels, the UR-1 fuses the Freak’s crown-less, dial-less architecture with URWERK’s signature satellite hour display, all powered by the new UN-241 manufacture movement. A three-hour flying carousel drives the display, with rotating satellites indicating the hour as they sweep across a fixed minute track—clean, radical, and unmistakably futuristic.
Inside the lightweight sandblasted titanium case, a central oversized silicon oscillator takes center stage, supported by a DIAMonSIL escapement and Ulysse Nardin’s Grinder® automatic system, one of the most efficient winding mechanisms in the industry. The result: a 90-hour reserve and a display that feels alive on the wrist. Finished with a neon yellow rubber strap, the UR-1 is limited to 100 pieces worldwide—a modern mechanical lightning strike.
