Minute Repeater Resonance 12:59 First Edition
Description
Some watches tell time. This one performs it.
The Minute Repeater Resonance 12:59 First Edition by Armin Strom pushes mechanical watchmaking into something far more interactive. At its core is a dual system: a full Westminster minute repeater paired with the brand’s patented resonance architecture — two independent regulating systems synchronised into a single, harmonic rhythm.
Then there’s the twist.
A selector lets you choose how the watch speaks. Traditional time indication… or the full 12:59 sequence — the longest possible chime the movement can deliver. Twelve hours, three quarters, fourteen minutes. Not because you need it. Because you can.
The entire mechanism is brought forward. Four hammers, four gongs, and a visible flying governor regulating the cadence of the strike. Everything is exposed, everything is deliberate. The resonance clutch itself has been reoriented to animate upward, turning a technical feature into a visual one.
Inside, the new ARR25 calibre drives it all. Hand-wound, in-house, and uncompromisingly complex, it manages two complete gear trains, two escapements, and a striking system within a surprisingly restrained 42mm titanium case.
This is not just about complication. It’s about control, interaction, and mechanical theatre — executed with precision.
