In horology, some complications defy physics. Others embellish the way we perceive the passing of time. The Minute Repeater Resonance does both. It combines our resonance system with the traditional idea of chiming to tell the time. By doing this, we have combined two of the most coveted horological complications into one timepiece. Conventional wisdom says this should not work—chiming hammers and resonance are natural enemies. Well, with us they make music together.

Features

Time and sound share fundamental qualities: timing, rhythm, and precision. Our minute repeater mechanism converts hours and minutes into chimes. Thus, two black-polished steel hammers strike their gongs with perfect accuracy. Our patented resonance system keeps the balances stable. They stay in resonance even as the hammers strike. Two independent barrels ensure this harmony and deliver consistent power. And a third barrel powers the chiming function.
