Extra Plat Platinum

The Extra Plat in platinum looks almost exactly like its gold siblings. Pick it up and the difference is plain: platinum is much denser than gold, and DANIEL ROTH notes it is far harder on the tools.

The dial is solid white gold with an anthracite finish, its pinstripe guilloché engraved by hand on an antique rose engine. A gold minute track with a filet sauté border frames it, with black numerals and lettering. The lugs curve down to follow the wrist, so the 7.7 mm case sits low.

Inside is the hand-wound DR002, developed and assembled at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton under Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini: 143 components, 4 Hz, 65 hours of power reserve. Bridges and angles are finished by hand with traditional cabron tools, the inner angles rounded in the bercé style.

It comes on a light-tan calfskin strap.
