Excellence Régulateur Aventurine

Aventurine is a glass full of tiny sparkling inclusions, first made by Venetian glassmakers. Louis Erard calls this watch its night owl, and on the wrist it looks like a clear sky over the Jura.

The blue aventurine is openworked around two counters in snailed opaline, a matt silver, with anthracite transfers. It is a regulator: the minutes have the centre to themselves, while the hours and the seconds each turn in a counter. Glossy silver indexes and rhodium-plated fir tree hands keep it easy to read against the sparkle.

The 42 mm steel case has a domed sapphire crystal and a see-through back over the automatic Sellita SW266-1, with about 38 hours of power reserve. Water resistant to 50 m. On deep blue calf nubuck. Limited to 99 pieces.
