Description

Terracotta is the colour of fired clay, and Louis Erard treats it that way: a matt dial with no shine and no burst of light, only shades of one warm earth tone.

The texture does the work. A circular satin finish sets off the fine grain of the centre and the minute track, the small seconds at 6 o’clock are snailed with a diamond-cut edge, and the indexes, transfers and fir tree hands are all anthracite. Louis Erard makes about 100 pieces a year of each reference.

It comes in 39 mm or 42 mm, both in steel with a transparent caseback over the automatic Sellita SW261-1 and about 38 hours of power reserve. Water resistant to 50 m. On dark brown Baranil calf leather with beige stitching.
