Description

The middle of this dial is a small globe. Its domed white gold centre has the continents cut into it and filled with blue champlevé enamel flecked with gold, inside a slate grey hour ring. This is the Globe’s second edition, made for the brand’s anniversary.

It is also a working travel watch. Home time waits in a window at 9 o’clock and the date at 3, and two pushers on the left of the case, at 10 and 8 o’clock, move the local hour forwards or back while the date follows.

The self-winding LF230.02 uses an off-centre 18-carat gold micro-rotor and Laurent Ferrier’s natural escapement with a self-lubricating silicon pallet lever, for 72 hours of reserve. The 41 mm case is white gold, on deep grey nubuck.
