Description

Most minute repeaters strike the time shown by the hands. This one can also play 12:59 on request: the longest sequence its mechanism can strike, 12 hours, 3 quarters and 14 minutes, whatever the time actually is.

A selector, switched by a column wheel, chooses between the two modes, and a small aperture shows which is set. A slider at 9 o’clock winds the strike and releases it. 4 hammers on 4 gongs play a Westminster chime, paced by a flying governor visible under the hammers.

Behind it is the hand-wound calibre ARR25: two complete movements, each with its own barrel, gear train, escapement and balance, held in step by Armin Strom’s patented resonance clutch. It has 506 components and a 40-hour power reserve, in a 42 mm titanium case 11.70 mm thick. Limited to 25 pieces.
