Description

Sandstein is German for sandstone, the stone that shapes much of the architecture around Burgdorf, Armin Strom’s hometown in the canton of Bern. This Tribute 1 takes its colour: a warm, sand-toned off-centre dial with grain d’orge guilloché, Roman numerals and a frosted subdial.

Beside it, a mirror-polished finger bridge holds the motor barrel in view. Turn the watch over for hand-bevelled bridges, black-polished screws and Geneva stripes.

The hand-wound calibre AMW21 runs for 100 hours at 3.5 Hz, and each watch is assembled twice. The brushed and polished steel case is 38 mm by 9.38 mm, on sand-coloured nubuck with off-white stitching and a steel folding clasp. Limited to 50 pieces.
