Stefan Kudoke, the first independent German master watchmaker to win a Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, redesigned Louis Erard’s regulator dial in three colours.
Louis Erard today introduces Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Kudoke, in purple, forest green and light blue. The purple is limited to 78 pieces, the other two to 100 each.
Kudoke brought his own dial architecture to the piece: a rhodium-plated railway-track chapter ring, a Clous de Paris hour counter at 12 o’clock with Roman numerals, and his own infinity-shaped hour hand in blued steel. The lower plate is grained in the watch’s colour, and the Louis Erard and Kudoke names sit opposite each other at 3 and 9.
Kudoke trained at Glashütte Original and worked in New York for Breguet and Blancpain before founding his own workshop in Saxony. Inside the 42mm case is the automatic regulator calibre Sellita SW266-1, decorated and fitted with an openworked rotor carrying the Louis Erard symbol.
Between the three, the regulator’s two circles read differently in purple, forest green or light blue, but Kudoke’s infinity hand keeps its shape in each.
