DANIEL ROTH introduces the Extra Plat Rose Gold Skeleton
At La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, every internal angle of the new calibre DR002SR is finished by hand, because no machine can produce it.
DANIEL ROTH today introduces the Extra Plat Rose Gold Skeleton, an openworked version of the Extra Plat. Its double-ellipse case now reveals the whole movement.

The DR002SR is developed from the DR002. Its bridges and plates are reconfigured for openworking and cast in solid 18-carat rose gold, which the brand calls a noble foundation for hand-executed anglage. It winds by hand. The design keeps the case rigid while it opens the calibre fully to view.
βThe work required to finish a skeletonised calibre of this nature demands complete mastery of traditional technique,β say master watchmakers Enrico Barbasini and Michel Navas. They developed and assembled the calibre at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.
It is a watch that shows its own construction, finished one hand-cut angle at a time, inside a case shaped for the view.
