Description
The UR-10 is an URWERK with ordinary central hands, which may be the least ordinary thing about it. This edition pairs a black PVD dial with grey hands, so the three counters read like instruments on a night-time dashboard.
Those counters measure distance, not time. EARTH, at 2 o’clock, follows the planet’s daily rotation; SUN, at 4 o’clock, its orbit around the Sun; ORBIT, at 9 o’clock, the two together. On the back, a 24-hour hand turns against engraved Rotation and Revolution scales.
Inside is the automatic UR-10.01, developed with Vaucher Manufacture, with 43 hours of power reserve and URWERK’s Dual Flow Turbine to keep the winding in check. The titanium case is 7.13 mm thick without its crystals and water resistant to 30 m.
