Description
The S.U.F Helsinki Kaaos is a Finnish automatic field watch developed in collaboration with Stepan Sarpaneva, marking the brand’s 20-year anniversary. Its defining detail is the in-house moon-phase complication, integrated into a restrained 38.7 mm field-watch format and operated directly from the crown. The modified Swiss Soprod A10 calibre runs at 4 Hz and delivers 42 hours of power reserve, with the moon phase completing its cycle over 29.5 days.
A frosted silver dial carries Sarpaneva’s Scandi-noir numerals, railroad minute track and Super-LumiNova indexes, paired with polished blued-steel hands and a distinctive lollipop seconds hand. On this piece, the moon-phase aperture is hand-painted in blue Super-LumiNova.
The case is machined from Finnish Outokumpu stainless steel and finished with an open caseback. Hand-assembled in Helsinki and limited to 20 pieces per variation, Kaaos brings Sarpaneva’s distinctive horological language into a compact, highly wearable format.
