Description

Ressence built the TYPE 2 around one question: could a mechanical watch keep the right time as reliably as a phone? This one asks it in grey, with a grey convex titanium dial on a grey strap.

Its answer is the e-Crown, a small electronic system between the automatic movement and the ROCS 2 display that never touches the gear train. Set the watch once with its caseback lever and it remembers the time, checks the discs at least once a day and corrects them. It holds two time zones; a tap on the crystal moves between them.

Light powers it, through photovoltaic cells in the dial, and it can be switched off, leaving a fully mechanical watch with 36 hours of reserve. 45 mm of Grade 5 titanium, 12 mm thick; splash resistant only.
