Introducing the SP One — the inaugural piece in MB&F’s new Special Projects collection. A watch born from the brand’s vault of long-forgotten sketches, SP One strips back complexity without losing a milligram of magic.

Encased in a smooth, pebble-like shell with no bezel and delicately detached lugs, the SP One is MB&F’s smallest and slimmest timepiece to date. But don’t let its size fool you — this is mechanical theatre. A trinity of floating elements — the barrel, balance wheel, and conical-gear-driven dial — hover mid-air beneath dual sapphire domes, giving the illusion of zero gravity. Everything feels suspended, from the tilted dial at 6 o’clock to the hypnotic oscillation of the balance wheel at 2 o’clock.

This is classical watchmaking, reimagined through MB&F’s unapologetically rebellious lens.

Features

The movement itself is a marvel of minimalist engineering. Comprising 191 components, the bridges are near-invisible, the screws hidden, and the architecture so refined it makes even traditionalists lean in for a closer look. Around it all, a Greco-Roman-inspired amphitheatre bevelled flange puts the spotlight firmly where it belongs.
