Louis Erard x Monica Bonvicini: “Not For You”

This watch doesn’t try to please you.

Created for Art Genève, Louis Erard’s collaboration with Berlin-based artist Monica Bonvicini translates one of her most recognisable architectural statements into a wrist-worn object. The result is graphic, confrontational, and deliberately uncomfortable in the best possible way.

At the centre of the dial, a mirror-polished appliqué reads “not for you.” It reflects whoever looks at it, turning the message back on the wearer. Set against a matte black Clou de Paris guilloché dial, the contrast between reflection and texture feels intentional, architectural, and loaded with meaning.

Housed in a 39mm stainless-steel case and offered with two strap sizes, this is a genderless piece that blurs boundaries, much like Bonvicini’s work itself. Limited to 178 pieces — a number symbolising “Stronger Together” — this watch sits at the intersection of art, design, and independent watchmaking.

Not decorative.
Not polite.
And definitely not for everyone.
