GG-1000-1ADR

Two large buttons do most of the work on this MUDMASTER. One brings up the compass, the one below it the thermometer, with no menus to scroll through, which matters when your hands are cold or caked in mud.

Casio built it for rubble, dirt and grit. Guard cylinders around the buttons keep sand and mud out and absorb knocks, the hands are broad and the Arabic numerals large, and a sprocket-style mode disc gives the dial its military look. The textured strap is there so it doesn't slip.

The resin and stainless steel case measures 56.2 × 55.3 × 17.3 mm and is water resistant to 200 m. Two SR927W batteries run it for about 2 years.
