Quai des Bergues “Sursum Corda”

Tilt the dial of the Sursum Corda and two Latin words appear under the white enamel, then fade as the light moves on. They mean “Lift up your hearts”, and Czapek’s chief executive used them through the hardest stretches of the brand’s revival.

The words are laser-engraved beneath the grand feu enamel, so they sit inside the dial rather than on it. François Czapek’s own signature, taken from the Geneva archives, is reproduced in the small seconds, and a “10 / 180” engraving marks 10 years since the revival and 180 since the founding.

The case is 18-carat rose gold, 40.5 mm, with the hand-wound SXH1 behind a sapphire back: twin barrels, 3 Hz and a 7-day power reserve. Limited to 10 pieces.
