Quai des Bergues N°25

The N°25 is the Quai des Bergues in its plainest form: a white grand feu enamel dial in a stainless steel case, and nothing on it that doesn’t need to be there.

Grand feu means the enamel is fired at high temperature, which is where the white gets its depth. Two recessed counters balance each other: small seconds at 7:30, power reserve and day of the week together at 4:30. The 40.5 mm case has sand-blasted flanks. You choose Fleur-de-Lys or arrow hands, and a hidden inscription in the dial if you want one.

Inside is the SXH1, Czapek’s own hand-wound calibre, with two barrels, a 7-day power reserve and a beat of 3 Hz. Through the sapphire caseback its symmetrical bridges recall the pocket watches François Czapek signed in Geneva.
