Description

The Drake Passage, between Cape Horn and Antarctica, has some of the roughest water sailors ever cross. Czapek named its everyday sports watch after it, which sets a reassuring standard for a Tuesday.

The Aqua Blue dial is stamped in flinqué with Czapek’s registered “Stairway to Eternity” pattern, rows of small trapezoids that throw shadows as the wrist turns. Luminescent markers, sword hands and a date at 6 o’clock keep it easy to read.

The 40.5 mm steel case has a screw-down crown and water resistance to 120 m, on an integrated bracelet with micro-adjustment and a quick-change system for the leather or rubber strap. Inside, the in-house SXH5 runs for more than 60 hours, wound by a platinum micro-rotor.
