Description

The Orbit keeps its date out of sight until you ask. Press the pusher at 10 o’clock and a hand swings out to point at today’s date on the ceramic bezel; press again and it returns to 12 o’clock and waits.

While it is out, the hand moves on by itself at midnight. A column wheel runs the whole thing, which is why the pushes feel crisp. Armin Strom says calibre ASS20 was the first movement with an on-demand date on a ceramic bezel.

On the Ice Blue, the fumé dial runs from pale blue at the centre to black at the edge, set off-centre beside hand-finished finger bridges. The automatic micro-rotor movement has a patented Equal Force Barrel and a 72-hour power reserve, in a 43.4 mm steel case on a steel bracelet. Limited to 20 pieces.
