Description

Armin Strom the man made his name skeletonising watches, and this One Week goes back to that. Plates and bridges are cut away until the movement reads in depth, and for the first time the calibre comes in a solid 18-carat rose gold case.

The gold carries through. The finger bridges, hands and applied indexes are rose gold-toned, the ratchet wheels that wind the barrels turn on the dial side, and a skeletonised small seconds at 9 o’clock keeps something always moving. A cone mechanism, taken from old pocket watches, drives the three-dimensional power reserve indicator.

The hand-wound calibre ARM21-S runs 7 days on two barrels in series. The case is 41 mm by 10.60 mm, on a black textile strap with an 18-carat rose gold pin buckle. Limited to 50 pieces.
