Description

The salmon here is not on the dial. It is the movement’s mainplate, coloured by PVD and hand-guilloched in a pattern made with Kari Voutilainen, seen through an off-centre sapphire dial tinted grey.

That plate carries Armin Strom’s calibre ASB19. Inside its barrel, a patented stop-work declutch keeps the force reaching the balance even from full wind to the end of the 72-hour power reserve, so the rate holds steadier as the watch runs down. The brand says it was the first to pair this with a micro-rotor, which here turns on the dial side, in plain view.

Bridges are bevelled and polished, screws black-polished, with Geneva stripes, circular graining and perlage, and every piece is assembled twice in Biel/Bienne. The steel case is 41 mm by 12.65 mm, on grey nubuck with matching stitching. Limited to 25 pieces a year.
